COVID-19 Quarantine

WOW!!! How the world has changed over the last few weeks!  We're hoping  everyone is self-isolating at home, staying healthy and safe, using all  precautions of hand washing, sanitizing, and social distancing.  Unfortunately we  do not know how long we'll be under these precautions.

A word on Face Masks... We  have been inundated with a plethora of requests via Facebook, YouTube,  etc. for the sewing of face masks. Some individuals have gotten direct  requests. National ASG partnered with the Sewing and Craft Alliance to develop a website http://www.weneedmasks.org   for "individuals" who might like to sew masks for specific places asking for  them. Most of these places direct you to a pattern and fabric requirements.  From our understanding none of these are CDC approved however,  the CDC is now  recommending that cloth face masks be warn to help control the spread of the virus.

If chapter members wish to sew on Community Service items at home, please contact Patrice Hayes, Community Service Chair at  community@asglouisville.org .  If you turn in any items on your own, that we  are making for Community Service, please let Patrice know so she can include  them in our chapter count.

Our History

The Louisville Chapter of the American Sewing Guild (ASG) was chartered in 2001 by a group of sewing enthusiasts who embraced the art of sewing. Their vision created a nurturing community where growing and sharing sewing skills has flourished.
